I found a lot of practical knowledge that is available and reading becomes much easier for me when I am travelling. These books are very much useful and help in the enhancing of my knowledge. ReplyDeleteThis content that has been put up about dyslexia was very useful to know more about dyslexic learners, their struggles and the efforts taken by teachers to improve their learning. Although it is a barrier for learners but it can be overcome with lots of effort both from the side of the teacher and student. Special teaching strategies need to be incorporated in the classroom, so that the student may also feel that they are also a part of the community and not something special which is the main aim of inclusive education.

It has highlighted the meaning, symptoms, remedial methods and most importantly how to remove the taboo that circle around the learning disabilities. It also mentions a few activities that can be done with the students. It also highlights how that all students are talented in their own way

ReplyDeleteNice to see child expressing her struggle to read and to write. It's touching. We do find these types of students sometime in inclusive education we need to understand them and take right steps at the right time to diagnose the child's difficulty in learning so that all will feel that everyone is included in education.
Learning disability - dyslexia is not a sickness but the individual takes time to learn to read and write and understand the words and sounds. The book that is mentioned for dyslexia is helpful to understand a child with dyslexia and follow activities to help them to cope with their learning disabilities. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteDyslexia- by Jennifer Moore- Mallinos was quite helpful in learning more about the learning disability dyslexia. The easy language and pictorial depiction was quite useful and interesting. It helped to know more about dyslexia as well as what an individual actually goes through when he/she faces dyslexia. A must read to develop a deeper understanding on dyslexia.
ReplyDeleteThe critical thinking workshop was a novel way to get to understand the topic. It was carried out through with many games which helped with critical thinking. Critical thinking is very important concept to be learned for every teacher.
ReplyDeleteThe workshop we had about Critical Thinking was really effective and fun. It helped me as an individual to think more critically and come up with different solutions for a problem. It was a group task and it also helped me to work in a group and as an individual. The workshop made me come up with a few ideas and be creative.
